3 Raw Vegan Energy Bar Recipes: Gluten Free and Unprocessed

I got together with my awesome friend, female bodybuilder, and coach, who is trying out veganism this month, Lexes O’Hara. Check out her website: FlexClub.fit. We made these delicious raw vegan energy bar recipes that are higher in carbs than fat, made of delicious natural ingredients, and are truly yummy! In fact, Lexes thought that they taste much better than the store-bought kind.

There are two awesome raw vegan energy bar recipes in this post, and you can get a BONUS recipe as a PDF file in your email!

These are really great for taking on the go, and eating post-workout. They are not like the typical protein bars – full of fat, and really awful ingredients. They actually taste like cookies, and will provide you lasting energy – because we derive energy mainly from carbs!

I think that working out is truly essential for health, and I find that when I don’t do it, I don’t have as much energy or spring in my step throughout the day. I love doing HIIT workouts, yoga, running, stairs – basically, anything that gets my heart pumping and gives me a good sweat. If I don’t get a good sweat, I certainly don’t consider myself accomplished ;).
